Joanne Reeves dies at 82
Joanne Reeves, former director of special projects at MCA/Universal, died of Hodgkin's lymphoma on Sept. 29 in Burbank, Calif. She was 82. Reeves spent 27 years at MCA/Universal. Her first job within the entertainment industry was responding to fan mail for that Television show "Ben Casey" at Desilu Galleries, then a stint in the effects company Howard Anderson throughout the initial "Star Trek" series era. She labored being an assistant at Paul Newman's Newman-Foreman Prods. inside a bungalow around the Universal lot and aided the studio's Vice president of pr, Plant Steinberg, until she was named director of special occasions for MCA Corporate, holding various positions at the organization until retiring in 1996. Reeves organized occasions for MCA/Universal varying from movie premieres to U.S. presidential visits. Reeves matched the Golden Boot Honours in excess of two decades and seemed to be associated with the Prism Honours. She was the very first female leader from the Universal City Sunrise Rotary, in 1994-95. Children include by three kids nine grandchildren six great-grandchildren three siblings along with a brother.
